Boyz and Their Bubbles

the Daily Shampoo Routine

You Must Determine Your Type Of Hair

The stats go like this(asked of 100 men & women):

  • over 80 % of you are using the wrong shampoo for the type of hair you have
  • 80% of you condition your hair daily...
  • when asked, 70% admit to their hair being damaged
  • Which simply says,if you are using a daily conditioner, it's useless.
  • Shampoo manufacturers have constructed a way to get the entire country to buy a bottle of something that does absolutely nothing.
  • Brilliant, but pisses me off - and should you

Change to another tactic.... Hair is a well researched billion dollar business with excellent solutions.

Those facts are a portion of what supports my unique DAILY ROUTINE I recommend you follow. Based on the (over) 10,000 Heads of hair I have worked on, 6 years of Cosmetic Chemistry research, couple years of microscopic hair analysis and finally from the nearly 200 happy campers graduated from the 10,000 HEADS HAIR LOSS PROTOCOL strolling around Malibu.

In order to set up the proper daily routine, you should have the type/texture of your hair determined correctly, once and for all. I'll try to explain it thoroughly here, for a solid answer someone needs to 'feel' your hair.

Every Stylist or Barber should be more than happy to help you determine this, complimentary, it takes a brush of the hand, a few questions, then store it in the Blackberry - forever. The only way it changes is: if you lighten, lose your hair,go through Chemo, or the hair turns gray.

To begin:
Out of this first category there will be one choice everyone must choose:

Damaged...Does it feel like paper? rare for guys
Dry.......can you go 2 days without it feeling dirty
Normal
Oily......does the hair appear/feel oily by the end of the day you washed it?

then to choose the texture ( which comes under the heading of Hair Type), you should pick 2 choices from this list:

Fine.... baby like, wispy, fly away
Normal
Thick... heavy
Wiry.... each strand is thick, doesn't stay
Coarse...feels like wire, doesn't cooperate- Asian
Straight
Wavy.....natural wave, does not dry straight
Curly....Kinky - African American

Check off each point that your hair fits under and you will have the "type" of hair you have, you are then able to properly figure out the 'type' of shampoo and the styling products that suit you.
Although for the first time in 20 years for men I am pretty much making a "blanket" suggestion now that I have found this great new shampoo by DS Laboratories, the ingredients in it are nothing short of miraculous for you fellows so that is going to make life easy, unless some of you cannot afford it. MY honest suggestion? Work an extra hour, buy one less 6 pack...I think its worth it for you.

I have a Plan B in that case, but I will tell you once again...if it comes down to "priorities" I would simply not scrimp on your hair and especially not your shampoo, if I were you. But I know there are struggling college boys out there... so plan B will be using ORGANIX WORLD shampoos. They are SLS-Free and can be found at CVS and other Drug stores they tell me. Be sure to check the label and the ingredients.

Trevor will be the resident model for RAZERBURN, we will use him when we need a Male Model Head of Hair. I did his hair for years, so can relay the issues to you.

Example of Trevors Hair:

This is his natural color, and off the first list he has DRY HAIR -Trevor is your typical guy and does absolutely nothing for hair upkeep. When he gets a bit older he might, but for now he likes to spend his time playing the guitar, skiing or surfing. But using the proper daily routine now, could help him from losing his hair too young. As an actor that could prove instrumental for future work.

From 2nd part of list, check off: FINE-STRAIGHT.
So for Trevor's Blackberry he plugs in: DRY-FINE-STRAIGHT type of HAIR.

My recommendation for his daily routine? Its simple.

1.)SHAMPOO every other day; w/ DS LABS REVITA SHAMPOO

http://www.groominglounge.com/ds-rev.html
if he works out or goes in the ocean and needs to shampoo every day, using this gentle shampoo makes it work.
This shampoo will not "grow hair" as it may falsely relay, but does have every single ingredient that is currently known to man to assist in keeping the hair you have - on your head PLUS it is sulfate-free so it wins my heart.

2.) Deep Conditioning TREATMENT once/week; AMLA OIL

http://store.herbalsalon.com/amlahairoil.html

Once a week he needs the Deep Oil Treatment. I fully believe in deep conditioning men's hair with AMLA Oil treatments which I found in the Ayurvedic world of the Indian culture. As a chemist, I see the advantages of real Oils and essential oils for the overall health of the body and especially for the health of the male/female hair follicle. The follicle is where the hair starts its life and its life's length is determined.

In European countries they promote many products Lipid-based, lipids are oils or fats which are wonderful for skin and hair: they rejuvenate, they replenish and are excellent for overall health. EFA's or essential fatty acids are derived from lipids and there is nothing better for moisture in hair or skin than oils. The guys I have as clients use the oil and notice the difference as I am sure you will too.

In a pinch, you should always have a bottle of Sesame Oil handy to condition your hair. Get yourself the biggest bottle of Sesame Oil or Avocado oil at TRADER JOES to keep on hand at all times plus 2 small bottles of Lavender essential Oil and Rosemary Essential Oil, just add a 1/4 teaspoon of each in a 1/4 Cup of Oil, super simple, apply and work through.

Deep conditioning : depending on the length of your hair, pour 1/4 Cup(maybe 1/8) of the Oil in a small cup and using either a small paint brush or your fingers, apply throughout hair and work thru, combing thru strands. Place a towel over your pillow and sleep with the oils in the hair, in the morning shower normally. Now this holds true for 18 - 80 year old men and in my opinion is the single best conditioning treatment you can do for your hair/scalp & follicles. Yes its messy, you have oil in your hair...but that is what hair & follicles needs: Lipids/Oils! the longer the oils are in the hair the better, so - yes, overnight - get over it.

Order the AMLA Oil, if you're going to go through with it - why not use the best ingredients, its only $14.

On weeks that does not work out, putting the oil in for an hour is better than nothing. One of the treatments I have women do is the "pre-treatment"... 1 hour before you shampoo - put the oil in the hair, then shower normally. Any time you can get oils in your hair for a minimum of an hour, is a plus, putting piddly-ass daily conditioner in your hair for a minute with 2 or 3% oils in the formula will simply not do jack. You will see and notice the difference with the RAZERBURN method, so get it in at least once a week, I suggest every Sunday - certain 'habits' can be a good thing.

Its superbly easy for you boys, your hair is short, imagine doing this with the length of hair some girls have? What a mess it is and that is why they "pay" to have it done at a Salon. We put the oil on and then put them under a dryer...the heat forces the oil into the hair strands so they don't have to sleep with it, but still - nothing beats having that oil in for hours.

I don't think you will do anything too complicated or time consuming when it comes to grooming habits,I don't blame you and truthfully

... chicks don't either!

FRINGE With Benefits

Fringe With Benefits

In the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia, Canada and EVERYWHERE...but here, that front triangle of hair that covers your forehead...is called the FRINGE. I have single handily tried to bring the term to the USA because I cannot stand the term: bangs. Besides the fact that no one else knows what we are talking about, as usual its a term from "who knows where & why".
I've heard a couple interpretations that some have claimed the reasons for "bangs" were developed, I'm still not buyin it
........we all know what bangin is. . .and that hair that sits on your forehead has absolutely nothing to do with it

Fringe ...makes sense and works very well for both sexes and especially you men, otherwise what do you brooding men refer to that hair as?
Bangs?
I THINK NOT
How about we all try...and maybe with you boys behind this we can get the term FRINGE to stick
The Benefits ? are simple:
not sounding like a goon when you go to the Stylist and ask for that new cut with side fringe.

5 DEGREES OF COOL : Lots Of Hair This Year via Power Naps

According to Men's Health
What's good for your heart is good for your hair !
in a recent study of 23,000 adults, researchers determined that three 30 minute midday naps per week reduced people's risk of suffering a heart attack and dying by 37%.
Side by side with that theory:
Killerstrands has a successful hairloss protocol: 10,000HEADS
Step 6 is Rest/Relaxation: Each & every step is imperative part of program, which mandates (depending on individual issues)naps or walks (for stress relief/relaxation).
This one step alone has totally cured 7% of participants hair loss issues, that's not high, but would you think it would fix anything?
the wonders of all things simple <> sleep & walks
