Color Cartel - Hair Color for Dudes, " SAY NO TO HIGHLIGHTS"

Hair Color for guys should be mandatory,
but not what you think

and only if you adhere to a few rules:

#1)Never ever (EVER) get highlights. They only work on Dennis Leary and only because he's got four to five C-notes tied up in the production of them. The reason? Hair is not long enough normally, therefore they look stripe-y...

#2) Color on Color is safest and best choice for most. Have light Brown hair? Use light Brown Color or 1 shade darker only > why? > adds strength, thickness, shine and depth to hair strands. Its easy & is a super common trick many high dollar LA Colorist's use to give the illusion of thicker hair. Every actor you see on TV and film uses this trick.

Best line of Colour to add strength and shine? Wella's Colour Touch Demi Permanent(no regrowth line)> does not lighten.

#3) Do not do it yourself, unless your g/f has tons of style and a Cosmetology License. Don't scrimp on your hair Dumb Ass...you want to get laid or at least have a shot with the ladies? If your last name is not Pitt or Beckham you don't have the latitude to screw around with your locks and take a chance it might look just OK. Girls spend 1/2 their lifetime looking and analyzing hair, so they are looking at yours. I'm serious, spend $40-$50 on your cut and $30-$40 on your Color AT LEAST.
Girls dig guys that have cool colour, cool cuts... hey, I didn't invent it, I'm just the delivery girl.

4) The one and only way you should go blond or "lighter" than your own hair colour is if you have more hair than Amy Winehouse. Lighter takes "away strength" and "weakens hair", as much as the Beckam/Pitt blond-boys make swoon.. you need to watch out for your own and I have to say that's a big NO for blond boy toys.

This blond is combed upward in a technique called "shoe shine" -
WARNING : DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME

5.)Subtle very very subtle - is the word for guys color (unless you are going the "purple route" which can have its charm).
This guy has very artfully had some lighter brown pieces put in his dark brown hair. Here in LA it would cost a minimum of $100. for the color. But it looks hot.

You get what you pay for

Just like in Cars,TVs,Golf Clubs and you can now add Hair to the list.
