A Day For Dudes - Mens Hair Color and Styling

Men Need and Deserve a Site like ours To Help Them As Well . . .

This is my Post from Killer Strands http://www.killerstrands.blogspot.com/ the HEAD of the BLOGS I try to manage! ! ! Am trying to figure a way to meld the 2 together

I know it won't be popular, but I feel from the amount of emails I get that I want to devote-a-day-to-dudes and their hair. Previously I had a separate Blog (Razerburn.blogspot.com) that was so much fun for me, but to do this one correctly, and that one .....for that matter . . . with only one of me...there simply isn't enough time. these Blogs take wwwwwwwwway more time than you think especially after nearly 2 years as this one has been in existence for.

My solution to bring Razerburn back in some manner? Is to incorporate it into Killer Strands, by adding a day every week or every other week, we'll see how it goes. . . if for no other reason than you all have something "nice" to look at. There is not a qualified Stylist / Chemist teaching the men of America how to care for their hair . . . and I am going to try to rev that up again. So many of them are reading Killer Strands and just swapping the reading for themselves . . . when there are very distinct differences in men's and women's hair and hair growth.

So I will add this to my load and see how we do, if you are a "DUDE" . . . please speak up in the "Comments" section . . . show us you are here and are interested and I will bring you more Posts and articles that will pertain to you.

Men have the right to gorgeous hair and proper techniques - I welcomed them in my clientele

as I do here

Boys, Interrupted

Take time out of your life to take care of:
your hair, your skin, and your body... a lot of men don't have check up's.

When clients ask me about PROPECIA (the pill that helps you not lose hair)..
I ask when the last time they had a check up...
..all of them say...
when they lived at home and their Mom took them !
Is that you?
PREVENTION is so much better than treatment

LONG AND THE SHORT OF IT...Dude

I think its important for men to acquire a "personal style" make some thing your own. Whether its something within your grooming, your clothing, your accessories, or ? try to pick something you feel you have a knack for.
Everyone does. It is merely a matter of finding it.
One client of mine who had the always hated "male - red hair" felt doomed for so long until he finally realized he had a lot of red hair at 42 yrs old. Just knowing he had lots of hair when I deal with so many losing it, changed his whole perspective.
He became known for his sunglasses, had the best collection not expensive, just classic & memorable. He finally came out of his shell a year ago and women were always ready to talk to him about his latest pair of sunglasses he picked up at a Swap meet or EBay.
Paying attention to style - clothes - music - grooming will do nothing but help

Up Above ^ Down Below ^ Shave It Off ^ shave it low

the Wahl 1/2 Pint Clipper

handy for many things
excellent for keeping the sides
of the

'hawk - trimmed and tidy -

important at every company !

They have it at a great price right now at an online supply house I use for various odd items....Discount Beauty Supply http://www.adiscountbeauty.com/page6.html - Best price I've seen. Its the shit for sideburns, neckline, down there, shoulders, yada yada.

At this same Supply (the more from one supplier the less the shipping) is a line of mens products I am fond of ~ BAXTER ~ were going to be brought up at a later date(their ingredients pass my strange restrictions) with an expanded line of skin care, soaps and shaving creams its an awesome line. Alternating their shampoo with Revita to make it last longer is one idea...I doubt I will ever find a shampoo that is as good at prevention for hair loss as REVITA.

BAXTER has done their research, as their ingredients "read" they are top notch. I have not tried it yet, which I prefer to do to reassure myself that what is in print is in the bottle. We all know from both work & personal experience no matter what they put on the label...things are not always what they say in print, at times it may just be economics knocking.

BAXTER's line is worth a buy, especially if you're ordering Wahl's 1/2 pint.

The Little Black Look of Young Hollywood Hair

Hollyweird Handsome Hair
the Vanity Fair selection for new male thespians 2008
my consensus on their hair?
As you can see, nothing
remarkable unlike the quality of their work.
I have worked with dozens of them, we joke about the "blah
haircut" they all have to get.
Their acting needs to shine not their hair.
All of them then color their hair 1 shade darker of their virgin hair a necessity when filming especially with Hi-Def everywhere now. That 1 shade darker adds the illusion of density to the hair which makes the hair appear thicker. Many problems are masked with this one solid trick but wait, before you run out & purchase hair color.
There are 2 ways to attack this..why?
Because, from the list:Top 10 Habits that Destroy Hair:
#7 is: Do Not Use BOXED Hair Color Kits
We'll go into it later.

neckline ROUND or SQUARE? ? ?

One of the most common questions I get from men...
What type of Hairline is best? round or square?

To me, the absolute PERFECT HAIRLINE for men would be described as :A "Square" Hairline (with rounded corners) . That may be too much for some Stylists and then there are others like me, super picky. See this cut directly below...that is absolutely square(no rounded corner)now look at the last one on this post..That has the bit of a rounded corner I am speaking of. Both are fine, the last one is perfect. Take both photos in to show them if you want.
These top 2 necklines are excellent..this bottom one is a brand new cut so it looks a little..well,cut,in 1-2 days it will be perfect This is what was a ROUND neckline, grown in...with the Half-Pint clippers his room mate - brother- g/f or wife can zap it off in 30 seconds.
{I have plenty of guys that claim to have some contraption set up in their place so they can use the HALF PINT clippers & do it themself!}

Another PERFECT HAIRLINE..a bit grown-in...but finely shaped. Round hairlines are a tad feminine and give off the wrong esthetic look and feel to the neck, jawbone and profile of a man.
the proper hair line for a Mohawk - the square also works .. see how this comes to a point almost ? that lends itself to the shape of the hawk itself. If you have never tried a mini mohawk . . . you need to. They look good on a lot more people than wear them, chicks adore them.

Girls absolutely love when men have the confidence to wear their hair different, you know how great it is to see a girl with confidence - ditto for men.

The "hairline" is what is seen on you men the most, you just don't realize it.

This is not what we want to see, keep it trimmed in between cuts. There is a tiny set of clippers called "HALF PINT", perfect for keeping the hairline up on your own - in between haircuts. http://www.folica.com/Wahl_Half_Pint__d2281.html.. invest in a pair -- they last forever & are under $20.

The PERFECT HAIRLINE

absolutely Perfect .. Print this out, take to your Stylist

Take control over your hair cut..(not rudely)..but like you should when you are paying good money for it. Tell them this is what you want, any and all Stylists are very very used to clients bringing in photos-we like it-it clarifies shit. If you spend more on the cut then you have the right to specify exactly what you would like, if you spend $10.00 at SuperCuts, well I can't say it enough, you get what you pay for. Remember find someone that cuts mainly with the Scissor-over-Comb technique -- NOT clippers.
BTW...with a head full of Curls, the hair line does not need to be quite as precise, as it is not seen in the same manner, if there are any questions on this please post in the comments section.
Any questions?

Shampoo-it To Ya

Finally, a low-priced shampoo with the proper ingredients in and out of it, that I have been trying to get every guy on the planet to switch to for the past few years. The reason? one more time . . . The 2 ingredients are caustic or burning & I feel through my own research & many others much brighter than I ...that they are one of 10 major reasons contributing to the huge increase in hair loss - (women are about to pass men in this category)

Personally, I've tried this shampoo ( white bottle) twice - it seems to be fine. I have a dozen people testing it and would love it if RazerBurn readers would join in with feedback as well.

Why wouldn't I just think its perfect and be done with it?

As a seasoned chemist, I know for a fact ingredients listed on any product 'can be' tampered with, some added that are not in, some can be left out, all sorts of little nuances. With a dozen people I know testing it, as well as myself I can come up with the best 're-testing' possible that I allow myself, I won't drive myself nuts

Paul, Dark and Handsome

The only difference between this photo
and photo below ??
the application of"correct" product. Many styles can be accomplished with a great haircut. Go to the best Beauty Salon or supply in your town, purchase 3-4 different types of products for your hair type. Sit in front of the mirror -- plan a couple hours of teaching yourself "how to style your hair"- put it in take it out, over and over.
I KNOW you can do it. Once you get the hang of it, you will do it better than anyone. Do you know most women do NOT like how hairstylists style their hair? Know why? Because they don't do it right(they go mainly for cut & color).
No one knows your hair like YOU do.

Like sports, like Cars, like video games, hair styling takes practice and not until I started answering questions all over the country did I realize what an issue that was for many of you, all my men take the time to practice - at times they come to me with new ideas...I love IT.
I encourage cocktailing your hair products: take 2 and try mixing them together - sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't - its worth a try.
<>
See the longer hair on the one side? its merely sticking up now.
This version is out of date, the above version is fashionable right now.

Hair Today Gone Tomorrow

Sometimes

Bald is cooler than all the Hair in the World ..when you start freaking out about the hair on your pillow
remember
Kelly Slater ~ World Pro Surfing Champ for many years ~ he lost his hair and wears it proudly

he's a stud, you will be too

Please think about this when considering hair Restoration~especially at a young age, which I hear a lot
if you get this surgery when you are young, your hair loss continues to recede.

once the surgery is complete
the hair line continues to recede...

moving back away from your hairline ~ NOW, you will have hair growing in and then a space where the receding begins again
it looks strange - very strange
I know men that had to get them out because of this
They will never tell you that in those offices
it is not a good answer, I do not believe in restoration

Women do not mind bald men
we like it better
we can tell hair plugs a mile away.

I have a 10 step protocol that is new for men but am having good results. It is not easy you have to change your life,
it takes 90 days to tell if it will work for you and with women we work on finding the 'trigger point' (the cause).
I have not been that lucky with the men at figuring that part out, not yet anyway - I am still forming hypothesis and theories all the time for the men.
It was originally designed for women, but when many of my men continued to harp on me about trying it - I agreed.

The young men that have tried it, have completely stopped losing their hair but these men are pro athletes and super dedicated. At this point in time I am interested only in men that will be SUPREMELY committed, so that I can refine the program for all men.

If you are interested, email me, I will needs lots of questions answered and a commitment from you for 90 days of a tough road.

Before that can begin? You will want a doctors OK stating he feels the hairloss is not medical related -- which by the way is something you want -- wouldn't it be great if you could solve it that way?! That would be that magic Pill you are looking for
