Killer Chemist said...: Yes sir...it is one of the main reasons that hair loss and hair thinning in both females and males is on the rise so drastically....
We are now having 16-17-18 year olds with crazy hair loss issues...the big manufacturers would fight me on this point most likely......but if you call every one of them, they are ALL in the process of taking it out of their shampoo formulations....so why are they doing that if I am not correct?
I have been working on raising the awareness of this problem for close to 4 years....I did some micrscopic study of hairs that were treated with shampoo with and without SLS and ALS... the follicle damage was truly significant.
I was stunned.
I too had the hair loss issues as well as a huge majority of my hundreds of clients.
With all my clients now using ALS-Free & SLS-FREE shampoos/conditioners
...it took a while but the problems reversed themselves.

Throw your shampoos out and take the list on the home page of the blog to your local store to go shopping for your new shampoo.

EVEN IF HAIR LOSS or hair Thinning are not an issue for you....
Those ingredients are absolutely terrible for your hair & scalp>
regardless.
